Appreciating 2025 achievements and looking ahead to the new year

As the year nears its end, I am looking out my window with light powdery snow coming down. It reminds me that year-end is a time to reset, like a blanket of untouched snow waiting for my grandkids to put their footprints and snow angels in it. It is a time to appreciate all we've achieved together in 2025, and to begin to plan for new projects and collaborations in 2026.

I am so grateful to all the clients that have allowed me to be a part of their story, and more importantly to the people who are helped in some way as part of our collaborative work.

I am grateful to be a part of helping my region. To some, I may seem like just a grant writer or office support. To me, it is so much more. I learn their mission and their individual stories, feel their needs, empathize with the issues, understand the barriers preventing them from moving forward, and then I work with them as part of their team to solve the problem. I bring innovative ideas to the table, and new partnerships. I help them think outside of their current box – perhaps scaling up a project or trimming it down. Whatever it takes, the goal for me is to move the situation one step forward. Whether it is a short-term client or a client that has been with me for years, the goal is still the same, solve the problems – one step at a time.

This logical way of meeting challenges has allowed 123 Grant Writer to impact thousands of lives with rewarding work, and that contribution makes us feel very blessed this holiday season.
